Overview
Welcome to the marketer guides for Prismic.
Prismic is a CMS with a visual Page builder that helps you manage your website’s content.
- Marketers create, update, and publish content in the Page Builder.
- Developers configure the content modeling: page types, slices, and fields; and connect it to the website.
The dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen you see after logging in. It shows all the repositories you have access to. Think of it as your project list.

Repository
In Prismic, your repository is where your project’s content lives. Inside, you’ll find the Page Builder, the main editing interface where you create, edit and translate pages, as well as the Media Library, where you can manage images, videos, or any other assets. This is also where you’ll find your repository’s settings where you can control user access, plans, and billing information.

The page list
Opening a repository takes you to the page list. This is the main view for finding and opening pages. You can search, filter, or create new pages from here.
The Page Builder
The Page Builder has three main sections: the left sidebar shows live previews of slices as you add content, the middle area is where you edit your content, and on the right sidebar you can see the page’s versions and choose which locale to display if you have multiples.

Pages
Pages are the main units of content in Prismic. Their structure is set by the content model, and you fill them with text, images, links, and other elements.
Slices
Slices are reusable sections like banners, galleries, or testimonials. They give flexibility to how a page is laid out.
Media Library
The Media Library stores all your images and files. You can upload new assets, reuse existing ones, and make edits like cropping or adding alt text.
Releases
Releases let you prepare changes to multiple pages and publish them all at once.
Spaces
Spaces group related page types together, making large repositories easier to navigate.
Locales
Locales manage translations or regional variations of your content.
