Make Changes in Bulk

Prismic's bulk actions allow you to perform a selected task on multiple documents at the same time. Here are the options.


Bulk actions allow you to perform selected tasks on multiple Prismic documents at the same time.

Here's what you are currently able to do in this way:

  • Publish
  • Move to a release
  • Archive

This feature has recently launched in beta for some users. If it's not active on your repo, you can contact us on the forum to request activation.

Publish

This will directly publish any draft or Release version of the selected documents.

  1. Select the documents you wish to publish.
  2. Click the Publish now button.
  3. A notification will appear, displaying the status of the change.
  4. Once completed, the documents will appear as Live in the document list.

Move to a Release

This will move the selected documents into an existing or new Release.

  1. Select the documents you wish to move to a Release.
  2. Click the Move to a release button.
  3. Here you have two options: "Publish during a release" or "Publish at a specific time and date". If you publish during a Release, you can either select an existing Release or add a new one. If you choose to publish at a specific time and date, it will prompt you to create a new Release and set a publication date and time.
  4. Click the Move to a release button to finalize the action.
  5. A notification will appear, displaying the status of the change.
  6. Once completed, the documents will appear in the Release.

Archive

This will move the selected documents to your repository's archive.

  1. Select the documents you wish to archive.
  2. Click the Archive button.
  3. A notification will appear, displaying the status of the change.
  4. Once completed, the documents will be removed from the list and added to the Archive tab.
